Dear Readers,
Welcome to Ganesha's Journal for February, 2008. Well, all the
Astrologers are talking about it. The planet Pluto has gone into Capricorn
for a 14 year transit of that sign. Pluto, the planet of power and
transformation, has brought a new agenda. We will recognise new ways of
doing things in the next number of years. The entire theme is: authority
and how you deal with it. Humans are developing their own mature
recognition that they must take control of the controllers by 2012. There is
lots of adventure in store for all signs. New horizons are becoming
available to the mass consciousness. A rugged time is beginning. Self
reliance and awareness are the two best teachers for a time when the
structures of society begin to change.
If you are a Capricorn, you will become familiar with personal growth
activities, such as psychology, artistic pursuits for therapy, and dietary
changes. These changes will maximise your new powers, which are
available to you by rising above the current apparent situations you face.
Your mission is to rise above, and the transcendent insights will be
coming on strong and fast for the rest of 2008. You, Capricorn, are the
new examples of conscientious spiritual service. What does that mean?
In my opinion, the Pluto in Capricorn era will be a time when people learn
what the limits of responsibility are for them. A new sense of what must be
done is here, because Capricorn people will set an example by seeking
the right thing to do. It is a mental drive of the Capricorn sign to seek the
meaning of morality. Capricorn, you are required to walk your talk about
taking responsibility during 2008, but in many ways it will be a comfort to
find out the limits of your responsibility too. This knowledge will help you
eliminate your morbid interference in other people's lives, and reinvent
you, Capricorn , as a new kind of leader. Integrity, clear contracts, setting
boundaries and reducing anxiety are key issues for Capricorns now.
Cancer is the other sign most affected by Pluto's transit through
Capricorn. You, Cancer, will feel compelled to be truthful, and will have
little energy to maintain other people burdens. Since people rely on you,
your job is to examine your moral responsibilities, and to limit them. You
always need more time for family than any other sign. Sometime soon you
may need to make a choice about who gets in on your brand of
unconditional love. Cancers will have much change in their lives because
they will see many old memories in a new light. Pluto brings an energy
which requires us to take a fresh look at why we are not happy. It will
gradually bring a change of reference for all signs as the aspects slowly
unfold over the course of 14 years. In the next few years, Capricorns,
then Cancers will become examples for everyone of what to do, how to
act, how to function. In addition, because people will look to Cancers and
Capricorns for answers, they need to set an example for others. Trust me,
Capricorn, this is he best thing you can do for anyone! Also, it is best not
to resist the healing that empowers you during a Pluto transit, even if it is
painful sometimes. Your reward is vitality. Stick with the self discipline.
The effects of Pluto in Capricorn on the other signs will be less
pronounced. The other signs may feel that they could cope with life as
they had before. Libras in particular may feel the need to escape from
reality as the Capricorn sign comes bearing down on them.
Capricorn's demandingly explicit style will fluster Libra and Taurus, as
those two signs always like things sugar coated. Taurus has nothing to
worry about because her life is having great aspects from both Jupiter
and Saturn for 2008. Taurus feels that nothing could go wrong, and she is
a good accountant of value normally. New opportunities could easily open
up for Taurus and Libra, but the downfall of both Venus ruled signs is
complacency! You let things go by while you habitually plan for action
later. The time is now, and don't let gruff or irritable people put you in a
bad mood. Just respond to reality.
Libra, you are especially offended by gruff and direct Capricorn energy. It
seems to strip away all the niceties and kindnesses which you need to
stay feeling balanced. I see a need for toughness and humor, as
implacable authorities seem to often loose their humor and grace. Libra
can set an example of active engagement instead of avoidance, you may
finally understand why you cry when someone yells at you. Personal
growth is helped by good nutrition, so pay attention to your nourishment
and let others know when they are stepping on your toes.
Scorpio: Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio, so expect your Scorpio friends
to find that the culture is finally catching up with their sometimes grim
attitude. Scorpios find lots of opportunities in research and security work
this year. Why? Because the Capricorn sign for Pluto is channeling
Scorpios into practical action for the next 14 years. They finally get to be
the crisis intervention counselor of their dreams, simply by setting an
example for others. If you are willing to face reality, which is Pluto's
demand now, you could prosper like never before.
How does the Pluto in Capricorn affect Sagittarius? Message to Sags:
Please be careful about getting discouraged, your optimism will be borne
out and vindicated but not your over confident or unrealistic side. Pluto
has targeted your lawlessness to bring you within norms and it is not a
pleasant feeling. You are aware of powers within you that have nothing to
do with Pluto. It is your old Jupiter power to believe in yourself and be a
cheery person, but please be willing to remake yourself into someone with
a new realism, as befits the current year of 2008. This year is a
supportive one for all realistic Sagittarians. With Jupiter, your ruling planet
in Capricorn this year, you will be flattened if you can't live in the now.
What is the impact of Pluto in Capricorn on Aquarius? Aquarius has to
decide this year if they are Saturn ruled or Uranus ruled. By going with the
"Saturnine" prevailing current, Aquarius can expect to become more
stable for the balance of the year. If they choose to rebel, they will find it
hard going. Hint: Jupiter will be in your sign next year, so you can rebel
then and get away with it. This year is steady as she goes!
Aries: They have just now, within the last week (Feb 1-7, 2008) been
released from a dragging but restful bubble. Capricorn Pluto is calling,
and Aries may react in a similar way to Libra. During the last few months
(Nov 07-Jan 08) our fiery friends took a break, voluntary or not, from the
main action. Now they are called, but not gently and not on their own
terms, to take action again. Aries, you need to decide what your
responsibilities are, and act only on what is important. Try to maintain an
eye for what reality might require tomorrow. Like Libra, you will be helped
by good nutrition, humor and patience. If you can focus your mind in a
positive way, you will find others who are hiring for the action you want to
take. Think of it as more than a job. What you really want to do is the right
thing for you, as long as you follow the rules. The rules are set by Pluto in
Capricorn; fair but tough. Chances are that Pluto in Capricorn has a new
line of work for you that involves active helping or building. Whatever your
preference, it is important to channel your energy, as it is ready to burst
forth now that the brakes are off.
Gemini and Pisces: Mutable signs like these two are always ready to
adapt to changing circumstances. It is important to pursue intellectual
understanding of changes in society, so that you will know precisely how
to adapt. You may want to relocate or take advantage of the chaos of
current society to promote your repair business. You may feel called to
offer yourself as an example of a calm, organized independent artist. You
are happiest when setting your own schedule, even though you can adapt
to whatever someone else wants. Capricorn Pluto is asking for change,
and Gemini in particular needs intellectual comprehension before they will
drop their resistance to making changes in habits.
Pluto will be making an easier aspect to Pisces than to Gemini during the
next 14 years. Pisces are already in the process of being awakened by
the transit of Uranus, which has been going on for a few years now.
Pisces are not to be surprised by anything. Pisces, don't be shocked, as
you really did see the time of change coming. Avoid the "go along to get
along" trap. Stand up for your independence with the power of Conscious
Morality. Check if you are breaking any rules, and then proceed as you
will.
Gemini particularly needs rational integration of new information in order
to act on it. Please be patient while your Gemini friend pursues the truth
on things. By asking for the truth, Gemini finds the truth this year under
the double Capricorn influence of Jupiter and Pluto . I see Gemini as
vexed until they realize how they fit into the wholeness. Let go let God is
the saying that comes to mind.
Finally, Virgo will relate to the Pluto in Capricorn transit by being efficient
and taking responsibility. You are no stranger to work and responsibility,
but now, Virgo, you must work only according to your own values. Don't
be rushed or intimidated by authority figures. By the end of 14 years, you
will be an authority on the subject of independence. The Pluto vibration
brings energy to reexamine power roles of the past. Here is an
opportunity to heal your "subservience" or in other words your
submissiveness, which is sometimes compulsive.
Leo, you are still recovering from Saturn’s transit through your sign in the
last 3 years. You have already been worked over by the Saturn energy,
and now Pluto energy. Your natural pride is reasserting itself. You now
know that creativity is your greatest talent, and your self value has
already been modified and corrected. Pluto will assist you, Leo, to find a
leadership position again. Your time is comminig to bloom again after
pruning.

The message is the same for all signs. Accept burdens, but only YOUR
burdens. The jobs you take on for people will be based on their closeness
to your mission. It is important to use your moral compass to determine
the limits of responsibility, too.
