An Angel Came to Visit

My inner teacher manifested as a being of light. It
came into the room, or appeared beside me,
and I asked it to help me with a stomach ache.
It put its hands on my belly. I felt the warmth and
healing. My stomach was settled instantly. I
looked with wonder at the Being. It was in the
form of a beautiful Man, but did not appear to be
particularly macho. In fact, it had an androgynous
quality that made it seem very angelic. “It” made
me understand that words and talking were not
right for our communication, and that only
symbols, feelings, impressions colors, and
smells, would be our medium of communication.
By paying attention I could begin to approach
reality without judgment and prejudice.
Clearly, my tendency is to use words. And again
and again, I lost communication with my angel
Guide by resorting to words and getting into a
judging match with myself. As I practiced, my
perception of my inner Guide would sharpen or
blur, depending on how much of my verbal
judging, material mind I wanted to use.
Gradually, I learned how to keep the beautiful
energy of my Angel in clear focus. The spirits
found my efforts and failures amusing. For them,
it was quite like watching a child get tangled up
with an unruly dog on a leash. I was that child,
trying clumsily to handle the symbol system and
learn a whole new channel of communication
before it ran away with me. From here I began a
rather special time of visions and inspirations.
My days of instruction were long and amazing,
although in earth time it was only four months.
Soon there was more than one inner companion.
I used an unschooled, intuitive form of meditation
to spend hours in seeing and traveling with my
Guides. I asked about history, mathematics,
religion, astronomy, and the future. What was to
happen to humanity?
The symbolic communication system that my
inner teachers used indicated that mankind was
approaching the time when our world would
begin again in another form! I was to witness and
participate in this amazing event, along with
untold other souls. I was to know major spiritual
truths, and I was to know such despair
on my road it almost broke the angels’ hearts, if
such a thing were possible.
After several months of close contact, one day
my inner Guide seemed somber and sad. It
indicated that it would be leaving from the
frequency we communicated at, and that
henceforward for many years I would have to work
harder to communicate. The easy familiarity we
enjoyed had been temporary. It was time to go
deeper for the contact with my inner Guide. This
involved learning a real meditation practice, and
doing yoga. The good news is that these
practices are beneficial in keeping a contact with
your inner Guides. I have continued with
meditation and spiritual practices for many years
to always stay in touch with my Guides,
especially in times of trouble. My inner Guide has
never left for 29 years now. It is still nearby, a
warm comforting presence. It is moderating,
protective, and reassuring to me.
My inner guides have never left, and I have daily
contact with their wisdom. People ask me how
can they get in touch with their inner Guides. Why
not try right now! Ok, pull over if you are driving.
All kidding aside, it is easy to contact your own
personal inner Guides. The first step is to know
that they are there!
The inner Guides have been there all along,
trying to communicate and to assist you, but they
would never interfere. We must ask to see our
inner Guides; we need to give permission to
ourselves to be aware of them. Once we can
assume that there is something there, we can
proceed to step two: Ask to become aware
of your own most precious inner Guide. Give
permission to your Guide to attempt to contact
you through any symbol that you see. You may be
contacted by seeing a flower, and knowing that
your inner guide wants you to notice it. You
may become suddenly aware of your love or
appreciation of another person. This is one
common way for your inner Guides to contact
you. Their contact is ALWAYS GOOD. There is
never a feeling other than well being when we
contact our true inner Guides, because this is the
purest form of our own conscience, not an
outside force. There are other, lower spirits out
there, but they have nothing to do with you and
your inner Guide. No obsession, compulsion or
wordy transmissions are permitted. If you fall into
the trap of trying to talk to your inner Guide in
words you will waste time. The pitfall is getting
caught up in defining things with earthly values
and judgment. We are all subject to past
conditioning towards negative thinking, and care
must be taken not to get negative, for then
contact is lost as far as conscious awareness is
concerned. Your Angels are always there,
tirelessly trying to contact you, to be sure. But we
are trying forconscious contact. This is not where
to let out negative thinking. Your true
Guides will always be POSITIVE.
